The Talawanda High School Concert Band and Jazz Band will be taking a trip to Sandusky, Ohio for a competition and trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park. We are excited about this opportunity for our students to showcase their talent and hard work. The Talawanda Band program has consistently been successful at regional and national adjudicated events and we anticipate success at This event as well.
We will leave from Talawanda High School on Friday May 21 at approximately 3:30 pm. After arriving at the hotel in Sandusky the students will have dinner and swim time. Saturday will consist of breakfast followed by the competition at Kalida High School. The bands will then travel to Cedar Point to spend the remainder of the day enjoying the park and attending the Awards Ceremony. We will return to the hotel in the late evening to spend our final night before heading home on Sunday morning after a continental breakfast (included). We expect to arrive back at THS in the early to mid-afternoon on Sunday.
The total trip cost is approx. $280.00 and covers the competition fee, park admission, charter buses, hotel charges and three meals. Payments must be made by credit card to the online account registered to your child through www.music-travel.com. The students have all chosen their individual passwords. The trip number is 1005-1-97. Please begin making the incremental payments immediately in order to hold our hotel and bus reservations. The entire balance must be paid in full by Friday, April 23rd.
Parents wishing to use their student’s Band Credit toward this trip should inform the directors in writing or via e-mail as soon as possible.
