Fundraisers
Why participate in fundraising?
One of the main functions of the Band Booster organization is to administer the annual budget. Among the items budgeted each year are the music and drill for our show, instrument repair and replacement, clinicians, scholarships, contest entry fees and much more. In addition, money must be set aside for uniform replacement. Our annual Band Booster Budget is $45,000 per year, and since we get little funding from the school for our operating expenses, that $45,000 must be raised by our organization. It is critical that every student get involved with the fundraising activities that are planned. The money raised by these fundraisers goes directly into the Band budget. Please help your student support these fundraisers. In addition to the major fundraisers, their are additional efforts that take place throughout the year, including the annual yard sale, concessions at football games and special events, DVD and CD sales, and candy sales. We are always looking for better ways to fund our program. If you have an idea, or are willing to step up and help organize a fundraiser, please contact one of your Band Booster board members.
